Take PRIDE in Yourself...

 Be YOU...

No one else can be!
Stand up, Be STRONG, and Report what is wrong.
Have Pride in what you DO!
Let NO one's shame make you sing a sad song.
Show the world, pride is what made me.
Pride is what has been, and will always be
The way to see, the TRUE me!

PRIDE!

It's HUMP day...

Another week is almost half over.  This year of 2021 is going by fast.  This is a "deep cleaning " day at work so everyone stays home.  I have been thinking of extra things to do all morning without having to travel to and from work.  If you have the extra time, what would you do?  How can it be put to your best advantage?  Remember, keep active and think positive.

Teacher Appreciation Week...

As we have ALL had wonderous teachers in our lives, what would be one thing that you could do, say, or post about your favorite teacher or teachers throughout your academic career?

_______________________________________________________________________

Personally, I have so many things that could be written here.  In St. Boniface, 2nd grade I was pushed to win the Addition Train competition in 1 day.  In 5th grade, I rebelled against long division just like most students.  It sure taught me how to do it though.  In 8th grade, sentence diagraming made this writing a "cakewalk."  In Edwardsville High School, shop class helped me get closer to my dad who was s sheet metal maintenance man.  As an upperclassman, advanced accounting and computer programming brought my natural gifts that had been hiding for so many years.  Then at Western Illinois University, Macomb, Illinois, my professors guided me toward a career in public service.  Little did they know at the time that it would end up back in a classroom servicing the type of student I was my whole life as a student with special needs due to a physical disability.

So here we stand now, thinking back on our favorite teachers.  There are many more I could mention, but the blog would never end.  I hope this helps spur some memories.

To my fellow educators, HAVE A GREAT TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK!!!!!!!

Mother's Day is approaching...What are your plans?  Is there a big dinner, BBQ, flowers, gifts, cards, or all of the above?  Please take 7 minutes and write up a 7 sentence paragraph describing the day.  Be specific.  Remember, mothers and motherly figures are worth it.  Take the time and plan properly.
